We love Riesling as a variety for its purity, elegance and age ability and believe that our old vines (mostly planted in late 70s) combined with the growing conditions here in Marlborough are capable of making world class Riesling.  This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour.

Tasting Notes

This wine has gorgeous lifted aromas of jasmine, fresh lemon, and ripe Kaffir lime follow through on to the palate. Flavours of fresh lime juice, lemon sorbet and ripe grapefruit with hints of floral spice are balanced by a fine backbone of ripe acidity. This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour.

Offering stunning purity and refinement, the wine shows lemon peel, Gala apple, lime sorbet and white floral aromas, leading to an exquisitely fine palate that’s immensely concentrated and persistent. Crisp-dry yet silky and flowing to an impressively long mouth-watering finish. Certified organic. Style: Dry. At its best: now to 2034

Fragrant, floral, a core of ripe citrus fruits and fresh green apple. As the wine relaxes in glass aromas of stony white minerals begin to emerge. Dry on the palate with flavours of lemon and tangerine, crisp green apple and white blossoms. Pure, crisp and precise flavours enhanced by high acid line. Excellent balance and length.

This has a very fresh, concentrated and composed nose that fuses white peaches, lemons and apple pastry to good effect. The palate has a succulent feel with attractive, fresh acidity and a smooth core of white-peach and honeydew flavors. Drink or hold.

Gorgeous citrus attack of lemons and limes with nuances of crunchy apple, nectarine and white floral on the nose. It’s concentrated, focused and lingering on the palate with stunning precision and firm acidity, finishing impressively long and mouth-watering. It’s splendidly refined and elegant. Style: Dry. At its best: now to 2030.

Aromatic white wines and Te Whare Ra are synonymous with the phrase ‘high quality’. They just seem to nail it all the time. Organic grown, made by legends.
Steely and tightly wound Riesling with a good deal of floral and citrus character, but, importantly, this bracing nervous system of talc-and-flint minerality that seems to zing on electric pulse through the wine. Sheesh. Brisk and refreshing, pent up and demanding you say the word ‘poise’, this is a seriously good riesling. And delicious!

Pure, focused, varietal and enticing bouquet with aromas of red and green apple, pear and sweet lemon. It’s also very floral and mineral with white blossoms and artesian water scents. On the palate – equally pure with fruit flavours, flowers, fruit spices and minerals that reflect the nose. Very youthful and precise with salivating acidity and satin mouthfeel. A delicious wine – perfect as an aperitif, balanced with a lengthy dry finish. Best drinking from today and through 2031+.

Gently-full on the nose, classic aromas of lime, honey with a touch of kerosene, intermix lemongrass and white florals. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, nuances of Kaffir lime, mandarin melded with honey and florals; unfolding lemongrass and subtle powdery spice. The flavours have a concentrated core, well-proportioned fruit and floral details are in harmony, showing depth and breadth on the palate. Lively acid is integrated, and round-edged provides a smooth flow and vitality. This is a class Riesling with concentrated aromas of citrus, floral and subtle complexing details with integrated acidity on a refined palate. Match with pork & fennel sausages and Sao long bao over the next 5-7 years.
